Indigo Lake Estates (ILE)---Lake Rules and Regulations

 (revised November 02, 2004)

Violation Procedures

The Lake Rules and Regulations Violation Penalty Schedule is as follows for all registered watercraft (including guest watercraft), owner(s), "and/or" operator(s) thereof...

1.   A First violation is subject to disciplinary action to include a written warning notice and or loss of Lake privileges for up to one week.

A Second violation (within 30 days of first violation) is subject to disciplinary action to include loss of lake privileges (including card deactivation) for 30 days and/or a fine per the Indigo Lake Estates Fine Schedule.

A Third violation (within 30 days of second violation) is subject to disciplinary action to include loss of lake privileges (including card deactivation) for up to 6 months and a fine per the Indigo Lake Estates Fine Schedule.

2.   Any Property Owner giving or loaning their gate card to someone (even another Property Owner) will have committed a rule violation.  Any fraudulently obtained watercraft registration or visitor flag/card is a rules violation; and the operator and craft is subject to being banned from Indigo Lake for a period time at the BOD’s discretion.

3.   A person authorized by the ILE Board of Directors (BOD) to monitor the Lake Rules and Regulations is herein referred to as a BOD “Lake Representative” (LR).  LR’s  includes any person or persons so designated by the BOD.  The “LR” should identify himself by display of his Bright Yellow ILE Lake Committee Hat or Banner, or by proper ID.

4.    If  the LR so indicates, you are to stop in the water (or street if on trailer), and drive the watercraft slowly to the LR.  Be courteous at all times.  Show your ID.  Obey the instructions of the LR. If you disagree with the LR, then; first obey the LR; and second, report the LR and the incident to the ILE BOD immediately. A Property Owner (PO) has the right to appeal, see #7 below.

5.   Any person or party that is asked to leave the lake by a LR and does not do so will be considered to have committed a Lake Rule violation.

6.   It is recommended that Property Owners (PO's) should not attempt to “directly inform” or confront a Lake Rule Violator of his violation; rather the PO should inform a LR immediately, and/or inform the Management Association or ILE BOD.

7.   Property Owner(s) can request a Hearing from the Board of Directors to dispute violations.  Such requests should be made in writing, through Indigo Lake Estates Property Management Company.  Their contact information is listed below:
